“RING OF STEEL” TO THWART WEEKEND ‘RALLY FOR FREEDOM'

Future historians constructing a chronology of the current Victorian timeline of incremental authoritarianism will marvel at how today, September the 18th, VicPol was commanded to direct taxpayer's resources and 2000 police officers to impose a "ring of steel" around Melbourne CBD; establishing roadblocks, and demanding "papers, please" at all access checkpoints; and completely disabling all Public Transport into the city — all in a strategic endeavour to prevent the legal right of protestors to protest the Authoritarian dictates, and the continued oppression of the Victorian citizenry by a rogue Authoritarian Government.
The future will marvel at how many supported these excessive measures, applauded and praised the oppression and the oppressors, while savagely and irrationally condemning those that would protest on their behalf, on the behalf of their families, and on the behalf of their future — while they slept impotently in their propagandised stupor, smirking at their perceived "rightness" and snarling at the "wrong."
The true marvel is that a "ring of steel" in a supposedly free and democratic country to prevent a protest against the ceaseless Authoritarian diktats, is exactly what an Authoritarian dictatorship would do to suppress dissidents, and to continue to clench what it has clasped in its iron fist.
The people cannot be seen to publicly amass and to be permitted to peacefully pry the iron fingers apart...
The greatest marvel is that this is not apparent to all...
