ACT LIKE YOU'VE GOT IT: "All The World's a Stage!"
PANDEMIC WRITINGS, Melbourne, Australia (2020-2022): piece originally published March 14, 2021
Given that the United Kingdom is currently a dramatically staged fear-theatre of bad actors, crooked stagehands and sinister directors all collaborating on pushing a contrived drama of farce and mock tragedy, featuring a rampaging non-existent 'UK mutant strain' that strains the imagination; it would be remiss to neglect the 'knowing nod and wink' that was the playwright's namesake, William Shakespeare of Warwickshire, being the first man in the world to be vaccinated last December 1 (Note: subsequently died 4 months later.)
It seems equally appropriate that the interchangeable synthesis of both actors and audience (the general population) have been given the Director's expressed 'motivation’ — 'act like you've got it.'
William Shakespeare captured it best:
All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
...and many are now playing The Fool while being played for fools...
